Not surprisingly, JET Tools was established in the middle of the 20^th century when manufacturing was in its prime. In 1958 after taking the first Boeing jet plane trip from Seattle, WA to Japan, founder Leslie P Sussman established JET Tools. The rest, as they say, is history and a proud history it is.

Initially focused on metalworking, JET added woodworking tools to their inventory in the mid 1980s. With both metalworking and woodworking tools, JET established the widest range of products under one brand. They have continued to expand their woodworking tools with advanced engineering techniques, especially when it comes to their hybrid table saw. These saws combine the best of the contractor table saw and the cabinet table saw.

JET woodworking tools are sought after because of the innovative features that JET incorporates. One example is the combination jointer/planer machine with helical cutterhead and indexable carbide inserts. This innovative design creates a superior finish which results in a superior product.
