Cordless Saws

Deciding on the perfect cordless saw is not easy. In fact, there probably is no one perfect saw. Instead there are several. It’s a good thing, then, that Circle Saw has lots and lots of saws.

What kind of saw do you need? Well, that depends on the type of project and the materials you are using. Let’s start with the tried and true circular saw. Like all cordless tools, a cordless circular saw is great when you are working in lots of different locations or a location where power is not readily available. These saws are the backbone of construction, cutting wood, MDF or plywood.

Does your project include cutting different curves and intricate shapes out of wood, metal, plastic or aluminum? If so you will need a cordless jigsaw. For these projects cordless is especially useful because the cord won’t get in the way of cutting out the shapes. In this case, cordless makes the job much easier.

So the jigsaw works best for specialized cuts. But what if you have a lot of demo work and need to remove old windows, fence posts or decking. In these situations, you need a lot of power rather than finesse. That’s when you want a cordless reciprocating saw. The power of a recip saw comes from the oscillating action. This saw makes it easier to do a lot of fast cuts on really tough materials.

If you are a woodworker, you probably have or want more than one saw. As useful as a circular saw is it won’t do the job when you want to add those finishing touches to your project. Those finishing touches can often be worked more easily when you don’t have to worry about tripping over cords or stringing 200 feet of cords on a jobsite. In these situations, a cordless saw is not just a convenience, it is the best way to get the precise results you are looking for.

With all the types of saws and the variety of projects and materials, it is not always easy to determine which saw is best for you?
