Reciprocating Saw Blades

Reciprocating Saw Blades

Your reciprocating saw is most likely the workhorse in your tool box. To keep it working at peak levels you need to find the perfect blades. Look no further. Circle Saw has 100’s of reciprocating saw blades

The first thing to do when looking for a sawzall blade is to figure out exactly what kind of blade you need. Well, you may actually need several replacement blades depending on the project and materials used in the project. Here are a few tips on how to find correct blade for your reciprocating saw.

To begin, ask yourself what material(s) will you be working on? Reciprocating saw blades are specific to the materials you want to saw. You sure don’t want to use the same blade on wood as you would use on stainless steel. That’s not to say that every material has to have a different blade, of course. Carbide grit blades, for instance can be used on cast iron, ceramic tile, fiberglass and other materials.

Do you have a favorite brand of saw? Or, perhaps you have a couple of different brands of reciprocating saws for different types of jobs. Either way, you need to make sure that the blade you choose is the right one for your brand of saw.

Good news! Circle Saw carries top brands of replacement blades like Bosch, Diablo and Milwaukee

Now it’s time to think about the size of your project. Do you need a long blade that has more TPI? Or is a shorter blade a better fit. Of course you also have to be sure that the replacement sawzall blade you choose fits correctly. It’s always a good idea to double check fittings and locking mechanism to make sure everything is compatible.

Next it’s time to get down to the nitty gritty – the reciprocating saw blade dimensions: length, width and thickness. Once again the material and project that you’re working on will help determine these dimensions.

And, finally, make sure you get a blade that has the best TPI for your job. Fewer teeth mean a rougher cut so if you’re looking for a nice smooth cut you’re going to want a replacement blade with a higher TPI count.
